chiefs coverLos Angeles desert/stoner rockers Chiefs have released a new single from their forthcoming full length, entitled “Stone Bull”.  Heavy and hazy, “Stone Bull” keeps alive the flame set by Kyuss years ago, and I’ve got to say that everything works great here:  huge guitars, great production, and a rhythmic pulse that drags the song from intimate verses to an explosive post-chorus (is that a thing?) where the almighty riff takes center stage.  As it damn well should.

The song can be streamed/downloaded on their bandcamp page, or found on their 7-inch split with Fuzz Evil, released by Battleground Records.  Chiefs are now entering the studio to record their first official full length.
