Pentagram, a band that truly needs no introduction, are among the most integral forerunners in what would come to be known as doom metal, and were formed in 1971 by vocalist Bobby Liebling and guitarist Geof O’Keefe…

Just kidding, they truly need no introduction”!

However even if you’re familiar with their canonical status and legacy, you may nonetheless be as yet unaware that they are releasing a new album and going on tour!  With Electric Citizen and Satan’s Satyrs!  This includes an appearance at Brooklyn’s own Saint Vitus Bar on Tuesday, October 6, plus 8 other appearances elsewhere on the east coast and midwest.  These shows pair one of the most important names in an entire genre with a couple of its premiere contemporary practitioners, and as such I’d suggest not missing it.

The official tour poster, as well as a full list of dates, can be found below.  Curious Volume, the band’s first full-length in four years, will be available on 8/28 via Peaceville Records, and can be pre-ordered here.
